STAMP ASME:
1. R :
“R” symbol stamp is for Metallic Repairs and / or Alterations of boilers, pressure vessels, and other pressure-retaining
items.
2. S :
In
this case, the S-stamp is for Power Boilers and applies to two types of boilers
under Section I of the latest copy of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel
Code. First, it applies to boilers in which steam or other vapor is
produced at a pressure greater than 15 psig (100 kPa) external to itself.
Second, it applies to high temperature water boilers intended for use with
operating pressures greater than 160 psig (1.1 MPa) and/or has temperatures
exceeding 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). S"
Stamp repair is a welding repair done under ASME code according to
geographical locations, insurance requirements,
and State Law

Nice information, many thanks to the author. It is incomprehensible to me now, but in general, the usefulness and significance is overwhelming. Thanks again and good luck ! Reaction Kettles || Process Piping || Site Fabrication
ReplyDeleteVery good work on such topic. When I started to read article I was occupied with the best way you current such great topic. By the way in which might you please publish extra article on such topic? I really respect it. Pressurized Equipment || Non Pressurized Equipment || Storage Tanks
